Highview were appointed to deliver a pitched roof replacement programme across a sheltered housing estate comprising 139 properties, including 111 bungalows and 28 houses.
The scope of works included the installation of new pitched roof systems, alongside felt warm roof upgrades to existing extensions.
These upgrades were designed to enhance thermal performance, extend the operational lifespan of the roofs, and ensure compliance with current building regulations and industry standards.
During the construction phase, variations and additional works were identified and incorporated into the programme. These were carefully assessed and integrated without compromising quality, programme performance, or resident safety.
Despite the scale of the estate and the logistical complexities of working within a live sheltered housing environment, the project was delivered ahead of programme. The delivery team consistently exceeded productivity benchmarks, averaging 1.5 roof installations per day. This performance reflected detailed pre-construction planning, effective resource management, and strong on-site coordination.
This project represents the successful completion of the first stage of the framework programme. The works have delivered long-term value through enhanced roof performance, improved energy efficiency, and reduced future maintenance risk, while strengthening resident confidence and comfort.
