The works comprised a complete strip-up of the existing green roof assembly. This included the removal of the vegetated layer, single-ply membrane, and existing insulation down to the Vapour Control Layer (VCL). Following a detailed substrate assessment, we installed a new Bauder tapered PIR insulation scheme designed to enhance thermal performance and optimise rainwater drainage.
This was followed by the installation of a high-performance bituminous waterproofing system, fully integrated with a Bauder green roof system to provide long-term durability, thermal efficiency, and support for biodiversity.
The project also included the installation of new high-specification roof lights, enhancing internal spaces with improved levels of natural daylight and contributing to occupant well-being and reduced energy consumption.
