We’re delighted to announce that Highview has been appointed by Riverside Housing to deliver a comprehensive roof refurbishment at 3 no blocks on the Samuda Estate in East London. This appointment marks further progress in our growing involvement across the Samuda Estate, with Highview having already delivered significant asphalt repairs to the podium deck.
Halyard House is the first to proceed, with the remaining two blocks currently going through the gateway process.
The project will address existing leaks and the ageing roof system, providing residents with a reliable, long-term waterproofing solution. Works will involve stripping the existing roof back to the deck before installing a new Langley bituminous felt waterproofing system, alongside upgraded insulation to meet current U-value requirements.
Working within a busy residential estate requires careful planning and coordination. Our team will implement secure barriers and clearly defined pedestrian routes to maintain safe access for residents, visitors and site personnel throughout the project.
Once complete, the refurbished roof will provide enhanced waterproofing, improved thermal performance and long-term protection for the building.
